Oregon Made Pottery!
I was born in Billings, MT, but moved to Woodinville, WA, in 1988. It was there that I met my husband, Jeff while in high school. Together, we moved to Seattle and while studying accounting at the University of Washington, I discovered that ceramics and art are my true passion. Because of the desire to walk my truest path, art became my focus at the university.
In 1997, we made the move to Missoula where life, work and the addition of our beautiful daughter put my pottery on the back burner. In 2007, I went back to school and earned degrees in Networking and Information Systems, a path that resulted in becoming a successful website designer and developer. Web development has been a wonderful outlet for creativity but has never fully provided the artistic fulfillment I get from creating beautiful pottery. Being able to share my art has become a key ingredient in living my best life.
Our family moved to South Beach, Oregon in July 2021 (1.5 miles South of Newport) and we are fully enjoying the coast. So much inspiration around me!
I wrote a blog post for KAVU ADVENTURE called Montana Pottery Life. The title says it all! Feel free to give it a read if you’re interested finding out more about my pottery process.
